Big Muddy Blues Festival

Each Labor Day weekend, the Big Muddy Blues Festival attracts more than 30,000 people from every corner of the country to Laclede’s Landing. As eclectic as the crowd that gathers, we all come together and celebrate the vibrant St. Louis history of “the Blues.” The festival takes place along the cobblestone streets of Laclede’s Landing while showcasing the Big Muddy—the Mississippi River—together with the Gateway Arch as the backdrop for the weekend. In all, musicians perform on three stages, at three indoor clubs, and during two events at the National Blues Museum.

The Big Muddy Blues Festival aims to give music lovers a reason to get together each year and celebrate a shared appreciation for blues music and the styles it has inspired. The festival provides a platform for St. Louis’s world-class musicians, representing a wide range of blues performers along with related genres, including delta, country, R&B, soul, rock, and more.
