Big Muddy Blues Festival
Saturday, September 1, 2012 and Sunday, September 2, 2012
12:00pm – 11:00pm
Among St. Louis’ many claims to fame, its role in the creation and evolution of music is right near the top. With a musical history and heritage as rich (or richer) as that of New Orleans, Memphis and Chicago, this city is rooted in music. Scott Joplin, Miles Davis, Johnnie Johnson, Chuck Berry, Ike and Tina Turner – all these artists revolutionized American music and all cut their teeth here in St. Louis, on the Big Muddy Mississippi. Today, that tradition continues with the annual Big Muddy Blues Festival – two full days of local and national Blues, Soul and R&B performers playing in the historic streets of Laclede’s Landing. With three stages featuring over 30 performances, attendees flock to what has become the region’s longest-running and most popular Blues event. Keep checking in for updates, news and line-ups for the 2012 Big Muddy Blues Festival.
